Helpful Opening Notes

1. "CLOG". For those not familiar with "CLOG", this acronym is short for "Central London Outdoor Group". As the name implies, this is a popular London-based club for outdoor activities including walking, hiking, cycling, horse riding and canoeing.


2. Page Access. If you came via my main web page you might wish to know that the present page on "Our Remembrance Sunday Walk 2018" can also be accessed directly from your browser with "tinyurl.com/rem100".


3. Rolls of Honour. On my walk on 24th February 2019 at about 16:30, I met one of the churchwardens who pointed me to the Roll of Honour for 1939-1945, inside the church. This showed the names of the fifty-five local inhabitants who gave their lives in WWII. The number on the main web page has been duly corrected. The churchwarden added that the list (on the war memorial outside the church) of those who gave their lives in WWI may be missing one person.
