Our Weekend Away Break in the Brecon Beacons

This year our Autumn Away Break was in the heart of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons. We stayed at the Cwmfforest Riding Centre with great walking country on our doorstep. Walking was the main focus of our activities, but for some it was horse riding, while canoeing near Crickhowell provided another interesting option. All in tune with the "Clog Active" Initiative.

On Saturday we scaled Waun Fawr, at 810 metres, the highest
- and perhaps the windiest - point in the Brecon Beacons.
Jim is on the left, and yours truely second from the right.

Thank you Jim and Penny for organising this multi-activity away break, as part of the "Clog-Active" Initiative. Thank you walk leaders and event organisers. Thank you all for your company - it was nice to see you all again! We certainly had a successful weekend - lots of nice countryside and good exercise. It was mid-October, but still, the weather gods smiled benignly on our endeavours! Of course, we all hope for more of the same!
